- Crayons to Classrooms Grand Re-Opening
Dayton’s Crayons to Classrooms (DC2C) is celebrating the grand reopening of their teacher free store, located at 1750 Woodman Drive.
An official ceremony will be held at the store on Friday, March 31, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., with the ribbon cutting at approximately 11 a.m. The ceremony will feature remarks by Executive Director Steve Rubenstein and Board Vice Chairman Kim Duncan, along with tours of the new facility.

- BJ’s Brewhouse to benefit Crayons to Classrooms
Have a great meal and help out Crayons to Classrooms! On Thursday, November 16, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in Beavercreek will donate a portion of their proceeds to our organization. - DC2C celebrates $10M milestone!
DC2C held a celebration honoring the distribution of $10 million worth of school supplies to Dayton-area teachers. “It is a milestone marking our continued growth and development as an organization,” said Steve Rubenstein, executive director. “We have crossed this threshold, but there is still a lot of work to do,” Rubenstein added.
DC2C officially crossed the $10 million dollar mark on October 5, 2016 after teachers completed their scheduled shopping trip that day. “Crayons to Classrooms is an irreplaceable resource, not just for me but for many teachers,” said Rachel Blanks, fourth grade teacher, Edison PreK-6 School.

- Art Event to benefit Crayons to Classrooms
K12 Gallery & TEJAS in partnership with Crayons to Classrooms is hosting a free event for preschoolers through adults to celebrate the Back to School season and collect school supplies for students in need. The event will be held Saturday, August 13th at 10am and will offer two sessions of 90-minute visual art classes in 5 age categories: Preschool (3-5); Elementary school (6-11); Teens (12-17); Life-long learners (18 and over); and Multi-generational (families). To participate in this event, individuals are asked to bring a new school supply which will be donated to Crayons to Classrooms.

- Charity Auction to Benefit Crayons to Classrooms
The Beavercreek & Xenia Networking Group holds a Charity Auction each month benefitting different local charities. Their upcoming auction on Thursday, April 28th will benefit both Crayons to Classrooms and United Rehabilitation Services of Dayton, and will be held at the Mangan Banquet Center in Beavercreek. Doors open at 6pm and the auction will start promptly at 7.
The admission is $3.00 and bid tickets are a quarter each. You can get a free entry ticket for the Chinese Raffle by bringing one of the following items to donate(up to 5 tickets):
Filler paper (wide or college-ruled)
70 count spiral notebooks
Small glue sticks

- Kettering Rotary Club’s “Run for Your Life 5K” benefits DC2C
Join us October 30 for a night of Halloween fun! The Kettering Rotary Club is sponsoring “Run for Your Life” – a 5K/8K Challenge. Runners who think they can complete 5K in under 25 minutes can try entering the 8K Challenge: they’ll run the 5K race plus an additional 3K for a total distance of 8K. Challengers compete in both 5K and 8K races. Two races in one!
Event proceeds will benefit Dayton Crayons 2 Classrooms. They will also be accepting in-kind donations and anyone bringing donations will receive additional chances in the door prize raffle.
