DC2C held a celebration honoring the distribution of $10 million worth of school supplies to Dayton-area teachers. “It is a milestone marking our continued growth and development as an organization,” said Steve Rubenstein, executive director. “We have crossed this threshold, but there is still a lot of work to do,” Rubenstein added.
DC2C officially crossed the $10 million dollar mark on October 5, 2016 after teachers completed their scheduled shopping trip that day. “Crayons to Classrooms is an irreplaceable resource, not just for me but for many teachers,” said Rachel Blanks, fourth grade teacher, Edison PreK-6 School.
